Janet is a Sutherland-Chan graduate who provides client-focused and caring therapeutic massage treatments based on her extensive training and clinical experience. Whether a person is healing from injury or looking for effective stress management Janet is adept at fine-tuning her techniques to best suit each individual clients needs. She strives to educate her clients on their path towards health and overall wellness with simple exercises and stretches that can be used to compliment the overall effects of massage.

Janet is also a Thermal Palms® Practitioner. She is very enthusiastic about incorporating Thermal Palms® into treatments. They are specially crafted, soft hand-held heat cushions that are filled with oatmeal and water that has been heated. They deliver a continuous source of deep penetrating heat to skin, muscles and joints during massage (like hot stones, but these are softer and can go right over the spine and shoulder blades). The targeted heat renders the muscles warm, pliable and more responsive to massage techniques, which also reduces post treatment tenderness. If you have any questions or would like more information, Janet would be pleased to answer them or you may request a brochure.

I offer skilled, sensitive hands, and a compassionate heart to all my clients in order to promote healing and the general well being of each of my clients. I love coming to work at Basic Kneads because every client presents with different health issues that are an enjoyable challenge to address! Regardless of whether the issue is a need to de-stress or a client’s dire need for relief and treatment of pain or injury it is very satisfying to know that Massage Therapy has helped” – Janet Dick RMT
